Personality Development

Personality of a person determines its destiny mostly and success directly depends on personality. Human body is just a physical form that expresses the mental energies generated by the human mind.That is to say, when we experience something good or bad, our minds interpret it according to our different perceptions based on our senses. So everyone should work on his/her personality to live better.


To illustrate, if you have been hearing that over 90 percent of the seniors aged over 85 develop some form of dementia, you mind is then conditioned to “expect” dementia when you turn 85. This expectation has become some sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy. The explanation is that information is sent to your central nervous system, where it is then converted into mental energies to be stored in the subconscious mind. These mental energies in your subconscious mind are instrumental in directing your conscious mind.


There are always some common personality disorders. One should work on them to live better life.


1. Live in the Present: Living in the present means living with mindfulness, which is focusing on what you are doing at that exact present moment. Mindfulness is an amazing tool for stress management and overall physical and emotional wellness.


2. Meditation: There are a lot of ways to meditate from different cultures all over the world. They are all targeted to getting to your soul values. Meditation gets you to a heightened state of self if done in a correct manner; however it is a technique that the masters have made their own in its complexity. For those who have never meditated, I would suggest that you start with an audio copy and progress to more complex techniques that have the same end result to discovering your soul.


3. Avoid Drivers: Some people work everything in hurry, these are drivers i.e, hard work’ please others’ and be perfect. Everyone should try to avoid these drivers to live happily and these are personality disorder. This isn’t always appropriate and it’s useful for us to be able to step out of our drivers and give ourselves permission to be ok regardless of how we think, feel or behave.


4. Keep Quite: Don’t keep quite for long time but keep quite for some time in a day to meet your own soul. This may not apply to physical personal space but getting your mental quiet space is very essential. Many of you may know; that this is quite difficult because of the constant mind chatter. Mind chatter is a stream of partial thoughts; these will inhibit silence of the mind. The issue here is not to try to stop them but to work with them because they are a branch form a bigger tree. Keeping with the tree example, image cutting the branches of an infected tree without cutting the roots; it is pointless. The same applies to mind chatter, keep with it and stay quiet (try and do a few sessions around nature).


5. Not much important point but it also influence one’s personality i.e, External personality. One should be neat and clean. Dressing should be appropriate and language speaking all matters in personality development.


Inner and outer personality interact, Both should be developed. Because if inner is good outer will be and if outer is good inner can be good and happy. But inner personality is having more importance than outer.
